Mischieviousboys 1

From World Famous in the Philippines a marvelous link to the lip-synch version of Madonna’s Hung Up. The lip-synchers are The Mischevious Boys, four pals in Southern Northern California (two are Filipino). Check out their other Madonna production, Vogue. And check out their site (more from the ringleader here). Enter them in American Idol! They just saved what would have been a cranky day, otherwise.

Of course below is the Mother of All Lip-synchs. You know, the two guys from China lip-synching to an American boy band:
chinabsb.wmv

(apparently this was an earlier protoype of the video).

(update) Have you seen Screenhead and the funny short video page? Amazing. So much internet goodness. The most popular performing pet on Animal planet, ever –Einstein the parrot. See Will Ferrell play George W. Bush tackling global warming. And my favorite Muppets of all time! Statler and Waldorf, who now review movies online! Watch Statler and Waldorf review Harry Potter (their voices have changed, though, and Sam the Bald Eagle sounds like Yoda).

And funny Korean Girls giving Mischievious Boys a run for their money.

And an amusingly dry beer commercial.

Oh, and apparently, this is really an ad for the Japanese Naval Self-Defence Force (another video features Japanese mass hysteria involving cockroaches).

What Michelle Malkin dreams (well, actually a Yeehaw video to end all Hillbilly videos, it’s an ad for a bar-b-que). Also, hidden history: Lucky Stalin.

And this was fun: if you enjoy watching trailers like I do, here’s a video of the five most famous trailer voice talents together in a limo.

  1. Funny that DJB said that because I was going “Eeeeeeeek” when MLQ3 put in a plug for Malkin. “Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek” !

  2. You’re views, more often than not, are too urbane. You and your unknowable facts are hard to get, since you cannot trully express the sentiments of the masses. You’re too elitist for us, urban poor.

Enough of your immovable philosophical arguments. Let your views be buried along with the articles you call the voice of the people. You don’t know us. What we need is not a cup of the perfectness of your philosophy, since it wont change us. We need realistic actions that can be sought at any time. Please! Will you assess and even scrutinize everything before you share your age-old philosophical analyses. Let facts decide. Then we’ll decide (if that is indeed thinkable.)

The only advice I would share to you is assess and then scrutinize. Well I think this is enough advice for you.

I pity you. Really. I do.

Hindi mo kayang talunin ang perspective ni Doronilla.

  3. The hell with you Kakapit. First, will you assess yourself before assessing other man. Second, will you be more incoherent. The stuff you are saying isn’t what the entry is saying. And if Doronilla is better than he is, then go and clap him. He has his own style. And Manolo has his own.
I too pity you. You said your part of the urban poor. But the way you act is quite elitist, to the highest degree, than Manolo.

If you want to react, get your facts also before accusing someone. Where’s your fact? I do pity you, because what I am seeing is a supah-class poor, presenting an illogical claim or pointless at that. I see you comment, but it doesn’t tell what exactly is you point. You’re just fuming out your untarnished angst, proudly presenting a nonsensical claim.

Manolo, don’t bother people like that. They don’t know what are they saying. They are bunch of dimwits. And nothing else.

  4. MLQ3,
A note for Kakapit: We must accept that there will always be the “urbane” in our society. While we may deplore the situation in which we find the “poor” or many of the “proletariat” class, we should also understand and accept the existence of the haute bourgeoisie and for having the urbane in its class. Believe me, even the proletariat prides itself of having an elitist, just ask JoMa, the epitome of the bourgeoisie going haywire but has managed to cling to the elitist class all on his own, all this time.

Anyway, I believe we must allow society to progress…

Can you look at my 360 blog and comment on my article about the Philippines? http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-BVzLMf80da3FHmyDD7S7sBs-?p=181

    thank you

ps: its kinda sad you have to lie to the readers here – my blog is always open to the public to read and make comments. I think you’re afraid of reading the truth. Its hard to look in the mirror – you hate seeing the truth about your own country.

  10. Gweilung,
I promised myself to stay out of blogs but guys like you keep me…remember me!

    reminder:

You know they did that in the early 90s and installed that woman – Aquino – and she was just a dummy. Anytime they revolt, they just elect more of the same. They just never learn. The Philippines is a hopeless country. They had 1000 chances to get up and be a serious player and squandered all of them. It’s just useless and hopeless.

    ……
don’t worry the next generation is just more or less 20 years away…..

    11. Karl wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 6:12 am

Don’t know with you Gweilung but with people like DJB
and his views even when erased will be cached by google and so goes for the rest of the blogs

The next generation can decide from themselves what went wrong and do something finally!

ps we also have commenters like carl

o what a google cache he would be….

    12. karl wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 6:21 am

He must have a seaprate comment line for he stands above the rest

    we have our host MLQ
whotakes us back for theFilipinos around the globe to have a look and see….

It took Garci months to reappear because that’s how long it takes to make a script.

Now, let’s sit back, relax and wait for the presentation of either confession, sarswela or moro-moro, depending on one’s preference.

    14. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 7:48 am

Lets take it easy on Gweilung. I think he wants to join the conversation but just doesn’t know how…I think he wants to love the Philippines but sees us hating it and wants to help in that direction. He misunderstands of course, but I dont…

    15. karl wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 8:04 am

Well as you may have Know be by now DJB I wittingly or unwittingly make people think

look at the back issue on little brown brother….

    go to the last comments….

    16. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:00 am

Your all over the place Karl! Didn’t we just see each other over at …? hehe. You show ‘em buddy. “ALL YOUR BANDWIDTH ARE MINE!” — it’s free and helps the host climb up the Google Tree…

    17. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:06 am

A word to Commenters ::: the global spider-crawlers like Google apparently do not make a distinction between “posts” and “comments” — they all become part of single webpage “post+comments” that get scanned and cached together. So if you post comments here, you are blogging for free with MLQ3 doing most of the work. All you do is EMOTE and RANT or COMMENT. So always thank the host: Muchos Gracias Primo! or my preference:: NO BLOG IS AN ISLAND!

    18. Carl wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:07 am

DJB., I think if one turns his mindset 180°, has a drink, relaxes, and prepares himself for gross humor and satire, one may appreciate Gweilung’s outlandish efforts at farce. It’s a bizarre attempt at a joke, isn’t it? Welcome to the zoo!

    19. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:10 am

Be aware that your comments are FOREVER because the Global Mind is now more than biological material, it is silicon logic too and it never forgets. Just ask Jonathan Tiongco! So you may think you are addressing just the few who come here, but you would be wrong. Most of who will read what you say, (if you say something worth remembering) have not yet been born!

    20. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:18 am

Carl, I think Gweilung might be about 17 years old and probably enjoys watching reruns of that old fave of mine about Kung Fu in the Olde West, was it David Carradine as the Grasshopper? — Gweilung is about the age of many younguns in my family. They say a lot of SATANIC things too, but I just chuckle. We need to introduce him to the sublime pleasures of balut though which he doesn’t seem to know comes from duck eggs, not chickens. But I do have good sources of the oocytic delicacy in Pateros…

    21. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:21 am

Come Back Gweilung! No one here is MAD at you! We got bigger fish to fry. You might be able to help us. I hear bloggers are getting clobbered in China. Know anything about that crap?

    22. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:23 am

Folks, I think we should ALL visit Gweilung’s website and INVITE him back. I really am curious about China…of which I could tell you SOMMMMEEE stories ohhh boy just you people wait!

    23. DJB wrote on November 23rd, 2005 at 9:25 am

Oh well, I tried to visit Gweilung. His door is locked and you can ring the bell but there’s just no answer. Hope he comes home and decides to unlock the comment gate. Must be afraid of something…

  12. Heheh! Gweilung must have been gang raped by a group of guys he thought were Pinoys, oh well… Karl thanks for the brief on Gweilung’s gibberish hysteria. I’ll just let him/her chocke in his own vomit, er peanuts.

You know why Tien Men Square is litered with peanuts? Well, as you know the locals over there love to eat peanuts from a cone.

Everytime you ask a local on Tien Men square about the time, i.e., “What time is it? or Could you tell me the time please?”, the guy (more often than not the local is eating peanuts from his cone) looks at his wristwatch and in doing so, twists his wrist thereby dropping all the peanuts from his cone and onto the famous Chinese square…

you bore me. go away. revel in your “urban poor” pathetic life. i work with the “urban poor”- the real ones, not the posers who try to pass themselves as such for whatever reasons they hold, no decent person wants to revel in that situation, that’s why they work. WORK! your kind of urban poor revels in the bleakness of your make-believe poverty. please.
