#ProyektoPilipino ep. 57: Bida sa Media

“Paano sasabayan ng edukasyon natin ang galaw ng teknolohiya at ang pagbabago ng midya?”

Generations are defined by their technology. Media literacy is about learning how to live with today’s technology, and is tied with how fast technology is changing. Media literacy is a community effort.

Northwest Samar State University Students’ Choice Awards for Radio and Television (NSCART) is the longest-running awards where students vote and choose the best and most relevant radio and television content for the youth. This year, Proyekto Pilipino’s Carlo Santiago was awarded as the Best Talk Show Host, alongside Karen Davila for Head Start. In this episode, Fr. Tito Caluag and his trio of distinguished thinkers—Manolo Quezon, Leloy Claudio, and Carlo Santiago talk to NSCART founder Dr. Leo Jesus Lacaba and student chairperson Geven Aguado to understand how students now consume media and how that influences their daily lives.

“The more things change, the more things change the same. The landscape may change, but one thing is constant: our students need guidance.”
