Pinoy Cook’s spaghetti with meatballs

I indulge in culinary masochism. This involves surfing food blogs and drooling over things I’ll never get to cook, and probably never get to eat.

Still, some recipes-as-porn are more realistic than others, and among the most accessible are Pinoy Cook’s (that’s the Sarry Lawyer in an apron). Being a spaghetti fiend, her recent Pinoy Cook’s “Spaghetti with meatballs” caught my eye. Finally, I had the maid cook it and…

Delightful! She followed the recipe to the letter, except for the pimientos, which normally I can’t stand, and so wasn’t worth the extra effort to go out and buy them (the pimientos).

Now, a recipe is only as good as its usefulness in duplicating the original efforts of the recipe writer. Finally, I’ve been able to verify if the Pinay Cook can really write recipes. She can. Foolproof. Cooking the meatballs in beef broth removes the tendency of meatballs to be greasy; the dish is tasty!!
