Manuel Quezon, Jr. Studying For Priesthood

Manila, July 14 (The Catholic Standard and Times, Volume 52, Number 41, 18 July 1947)—Manuel Quezon, Jr., son of the late President of the Philippine Commonwealth, has entered the Santo Tomas Central Seminary and has started his course of studies for the priesthood. It is expected that he will complete his studies in seven years. The young seminarian entered the seminary the day after his 21st birthday. He determined upon a priestly vocation when he was 17 and was attending Georgetown University Preparatory School, near Washington, D. C., during the war. His decision to enter the priesthood came as no great surprise to those who knew him to be deeply religious and scholarly, behind his gay party exterior.
