GMA7′s Saksi reports Atty. Ong was disaffected over being passed over for the position of top honcho of the National Bureau of Investigation. Former police general Wycoco got the job; since then, according to Wycoco, Ong has held a grudge against the President.

There doesn’t seem to be the concept of sanctuary, which is still respected in some Catholic countries (i.e. once you seek sanctuary in a Catholic church, the civil authorities can’t go get you).
