My little nipa hut

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada is grilling former policeman Mosqueda. The Senate investigation isn’t really going anywhere, but I must say, in showing the photo of a fairly large and elaborate vacation home, it’s funny to see Mosqueda refer to it, basically, as his little nipa hut. Messy as the hearings are, one thing that irritates me is the offensive line of questioning exemplified by Estrada. There’s no reason to treat people that way, particularly since senators should remember the public pays their salaries.

  1. Here is one person who had been accused of jueteng investigating another of the same crime. Sadly… only in the Philippines.

  2. I belive you are absolutely right here Mr. Quezon. Those who hold high positions in our government should always remember that they are foremostly public servants and never royalties. I believe politicians should write their code of ethics, just like judges and lawyers for surely, most of them lack candor and foresight.

  3. If that’s a “little nipa hut,” I also want one for myself, too.

Geeez, I shudder to think how Mosqueda will define “big.”

  4. “Little” could be relative you know. Anything that uses nipa and looks like a hut, no matter how grand, is still nipa hut (hehe). And what passes for a decent bungalow for someone like me could even be smaller than a rich man’s closet. The joys of being wealthy… Am I abnormal I do not feel envy?

  5. we’re talking about sen. j. estrada here, aren’t we?
    what did you expect?
    earth to mlq3…

  6. mlq yan ang reason why ang church ang dapat baguhin kasi they failed to instill morality sa mga taong ito. MOST government officials acts like GOD kung tratuhin nila ang taong dapat nilang pinagsisilbihan.

  7. MLQ3,

Its really irritating to hear and watch these Senate hearing or as i prefer to call it a Circus show, its also irritating whenever Senator Estrada does the questioning…may personal touch palagi, akala mo naman napaka linis. They should remain in showbiz instead.

No wonder all their calls for rallies seem to be failures if you have the likes of Jinggoy and his brother JV at the helm. I dont think people take them seriously anyway. They better quit while they are at it.

    Which is veryyyyyyyyyyyyy wrong.

You’ll be next to God sa paningin nila.

The real question in hand, kaya pa ba lutasin ito?

  11. Francis, Morality ba kamo? Asa pa tayo sa simbahan. E mismo sila wala nun e.

Like for instance, nakakita na ba kayo ng ALTAR worth 1.3M? ALTAR LANG YAN with matching abubot sa gilid.

well go to my place and you’ll see. Morality doesn’t exist here in my place.

Wala na ring impact ang simbahan ngayon. If you ask me.

I think we better start teaching the word MORALITY inside our homes.

That’s the only way I know.
