Church and State

In “3-day national mourning?” from the sassy lawyer’s journal, the Sassy Lawyer weighs (predictably, I might cheekily add), against the official period of mourning proclaimed by the President:

This is not even a proper argument for majority rule. The fact that majority of the Filipinos are Catholics does not make Catholicism a state religion. In fact, the Constitution guarantees that the separation of church and state shall be inviolable.

So much for being a country of laws and not of men.
